Laundry Grant Application

Application Info

Initiated in Spring 2025 in partnership between the Care & Outreach team, Auxillary Services, and the Financial Aid Office, the Student Government created a need-based laundry grant for students who may face financial hardships that prevent them from affording necessary on-campus laundry services.

What do I need in order to apply?

We ask that you write a single page describing why you are asking for assistance. (No more than 500 words)

Who is eligble to recieve funding?

You must be a student who lives in an on-campus dorm, that utilizes Speed Queen washing and drying machines.

Is there an Application Deadline?

As long as Student Government is operational, the grant is active and accepting applications. This typically is within the first 2 weeks of the fall semester, and 2 weeks before spring finals week.

How long does it take to receive funds?

Student Government's Laundry Grant Committee meets weekly, and when a decision of approval is reached, it will take approximately 48 hours for funds to show up in the Speed Queen app.

Can I use this money for other things besides laundry?

No, the money is directly transferred into the Speed Queen app. Catcash balances are not affected by the laundry grant.

Will receiving this grant affect my financial aid?

This process will not affect your financial aid received, as the application is processed through the financial aid office. 

Can I apply for more funding in the future?
